Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. Early Broadway performances are Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. She received her Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play as Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashley, Tony Award winning actor and actress, has worked with actors, directors, and directors on both screen and stage throughout the entirety of her professional career. Ashford is set to next be as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani on the Hulu special production Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford's latest project includes the Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust and starring Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film will stream through Disney's DTC platforms as a Hulu Original. Ashford is expected to return in 2023 and will star alongside Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform an upcoming revival production of Stephen Sondheim Sweeney Todd. Ashford has played Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story Impeachment, that is a re-telling of the drama where Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp were the primary characters of the first ever impeachment proceeding in America. Ashford played for two seasons in CBS hit comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. She has also appeared in Broadway on Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde as well as the original character as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for the Tony Award. Ashford, who was raised in Denver, now spends time between Los Angeles & New York.
